News: Oasis Hub Waterloo putting good food at the heart of the school community
Oasis run over 50 schools and serve around 30,000 children across the UK. In addition, community hubs bring together volunteers, activists and professionals in 36 different locations generating further impact. Oasis Hub Waterloo, located in the London Borough of Lambeth, is trialing new approaches to make good food and fresh vegetables more accessible to the school community.

Respondents overwhelmingly support extending Healthy Start Scheme to families with NRPF to ensure a nutritional safety net at the start of life.

News: Children's Food Campaign gave evidence to the Health Select Committee
Children’s Food Campaign Co-ordinator Malcolm Clark was invited to give evidence to the Health Select Committee as part of their special inquiry into the Government's childhood obesity strategy. There, Mr. Clark along with Prof Graeme MacGregor, chairman of Action on Sugar, and Dr Paul Darragh, a member of the British Medical Association's board of science, made the case for the introduction of a sugary drinks duty as well as the need to tighten current regulations regarding marketing to children.

A new London Food Commission is to be launched this weekend at the Mayor's London Conference. Deputy Mayor and Green Assembly Member, Jenny Jones will be joined at the launch by Mayor Ken Livingstone and Honor Chapman, Chair of the London Development Agency, which is funding the Commission.
